  1. A former Port Jefferson resident is facing charges after turning herself in for an elderly assault that resulted in death. Lauren Pazienza, 26, who lived on Old Homestead Road, is being charged with first-degree manslaughter after pushing an 87-year-old to the ground. The victim later died from her injuries.   2. Wintertide Concert Series will host its 4th presentation on March 24 at the Village Center. This time, wine and cheese all-stars will be on the stage from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event does not require tickets but a donation of $5 will be asked at the door. All are welcome! (PJVC)
  3. Kids aged 7-12 years are welcome to come to the Port Jefferson Free Library to learn how to make a smartphone, iPod, or tablet holder out of recycled materials. The program will be hosted on Monday, March 28 at 7 p.m. (PJFL)
  4. Nonprofit Paws of War in Nesconset teamed up with an organization overseas to help refugees who fled from Ukraine to have essentials for their pets. Most of the families who escaped don't have food for their pets and nonprofits are promoting campaigns to benefit the animals through donations. (Patch)
  5. Stony Brook art students to be featured in The MFA Thesis Exhibition 2022. Dilge Dilsiz, Daniel Donato, and Heather Weston are presenting paintings, sculptures, prints, and photographs at the Zuccaire Gallery, located on the second floor of the Staller Center.
