Port Jefferson Ice Festival Postponed Due To Winter Storm
Tickets for the coinciding Mac and Cheese Crawl will be honored next weekend.
PORT JEFFERSON, NY — Organizers of the 3rd annual Port Jefferson Ice Festival planned to hold the event this weekend, but Mother Nature had other plans to coat the village — and the rest of the region — with a little more snow and ice as part of a winter storm, leading to the event's postponement.
A Mac and Cheese crawl scheduled to coincide with the event has also been postponed, but participants can use their tickets next weekend, organizers say.
The festival was to include the ice sculptures of renowned sculptor and Guinness Book of World Records holder Rich Daly of Ice Memories, Inc., as well as unique interactive photo opportunities, including a graffiti ice wall, and horse and carriage rides, according to a post on the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce's Facebook page.
