$47M Port Jefferson School Budget Approved, Prop Shot Down
Shannon Handley and David Keegan were elected to the Board of Education with 1,041 and 1,020 votes, respectively.
PORT JEFFERSON, NY — Port Jefferson School District voters approved a $47 million spending plan on Tuesday by 849 to 537 votes.
A second proposition, a $15.9 million construction bond, was shot down by a small margin with 708 against to 674 in favor.
Shannon Handley and David Keegan were elected to the Board of Education with 1,041 and 1,020 votes, respectively.
