- The windows of Port Jefferson will be extra festive this month. The 2022 Window Painting Contest kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 22. Participants will work with the theme "Halloween or Fall." Winners will be awarded certificates. Would you like to sign up? Click here. (Port Jefferson Village Center)
- Cars were on fire at the BMW dealership located at Middle Country Road in St. James. Nesconset Fire Department controlled the flames that engulfed four vehicles on Sunday. No injuries were reported. (LI News12)
- Registered voters who need to update their address have until Wednesday, Oct. 19, to do so. The update can be made at the local DMV in person or online at the Department of Motor Vehicles. (Comsewogue Library)

- Artoberfest is coming to the neighborhood! Preservation Long Island and Long Island Museum will host a festive afternoon featuring food, music, arts and crafts at the Sherwood-Jayne Farm at 55 Old Post Road, East Setauket. The event kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 22, starting at noon. Tickets can be purchased here. (TBR News Media)
