🌱 Port Jefferson Welcomes The START Program + New Year's Outings

1. The Suffolk Sheriff's Transition and Reentry Team Resource Center inaugurated a branch location in Port Jefferson! On Tuesday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the Axis Church Community Center in Port Jefferson. The START program aims to help people reentering the community with what they need to start a new life. (Port Jefferson Patch)
2. Port Jefferson Theater Three is hosting an early bird session of the "New Year's LAUGHIN' Eve" on Saturday, Dec. 31, at 6 p.m. Click on the link to check which comedians will hit the stage and to purchase tickets! (Theatre Three)
3. What will you do on the first day of 2023? If you want to do something different or like to be in contact with nature, join thousands of New Yorkers and participate in the 12th annual First Day Hikes. 4. Have you heard that a Wegmans Supermarket is coming to Long Island? The store is expected to open in 2024 in Lake Grove! The Village of Lake Grove has approved the grocery store to be set up at the DSW Plaza on Middle Country Road. (News 12 Long Island)
