At Pattern Finders in Port Jeff, Collecting Prom Dresses For Those Who Need Them
Donate your old prom dress at Pattern Finders until the end of April.

Imagine that it’s season and all the kids in school are getting ready, buying their dresses and tuxedos, but like many families recently, yours has hit some hard times. The money just isn’t there for a fancy dress when there are other bills to pay.
That’s why local business owner Stacy Davidson started a prom dress drive, to help those who may not be able to afford one for that once-in-a-lifetime day in a child’s life. From now until the end of April, you can take that old dress out of the closet and put it to good use once again by donating it at on East Main Street.
Last year Davidson was able to collect 62 dresses and she hopes to exceed that number.

“I would love to receive 70 dresses this year,” she said.
In order to distribute the dresses, Davidson works with an outreach program that lets other diocese know that the dresses are available.
