First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories in Port Jefferson today:

1. The Stony Brook University (SBU) Economic Development Incubator Showcase is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, Jun. 8) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The free event will take place at the university's Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology, about 10 minutes from the Port Jefferson area. Over 60 companies from SBU's incubation system will attend the showcase; participants will have the opportunity to connect with local business owners, financiers, and investors. 2. The Suffolk County Government has released its most recent COVID-19 data, collected as of Jun. 3. Community transmission is currently considered high, with an 8.7 percent positive testing rate in Suffolk County. As of the date of collection, 188 individuals were hospitalized, with 47 percent hospitalized due to COVID-19 or related complications. (Patch)
