The Long Island barbeque joint known for its brisket has closed after three years.

Smoke Shack Blues in Port Jefferson has closed.
The Long Island barbecue spot known for its brisket announced the closure in an Instagram post last week.
"We have worked hard to keep the lights on for so long," the post said. "This fantastic journey would not have been possible without you! However, after sincere thought and consideration, we have decided to set our sights on new goals and are leaving Port Jefferson. We want thank all of our loyal customers who have been coming over the years because with you, our dreams would never have come true. We are truly appreciative. Thank you Long Island."

In 2016, chef Jonathan Levine opened Smoke Shack Blues following stints at Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace, The Buffet at the Wynn Hotel and other stops along the way.
