Star Student Athlete: Port Jefferson's Reneé Shines Off The Court

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

This submission comes from Reneé Clark who nominated her daughter, Reneé, of Port Jefferson.

Reneé is a member of the National Honor Society and plays tennis. She has many medical conditions, an Individualized Education Program in school, and always strives to be the best version of herself she can be, but also thinks of others.

Reneé, a member of the National Honor Society, has many medical conditions, an IEP in school, and always strives to be the best version of herself she can be. She donates her time to school functions, Save-A-Pet, sunshine prevention, and also tutors other students, as well as helps her disabled mom at home, and her sister with homework.

She is kind, caring, and always thinks about others.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

Reneé also plays the violin. She does Metropolitan Youth Orchestra on days she is not playing tennis.
