Community Chest Of Port Washington Launches 2018 Fundraising Campaign
Keep an eye out for "We Live Here, We Give Here" signs in the community.
Residents of Port Washington may soon see "We Live Here, We Give Here" lawn signs pop up across the community as part of the Community Chest of Port Washington's 2018 fundraising campaign.
The signs are meant to encourage all residents to support this local organization that provides funding to programs for senior citizens, children, teenagers and others in need in Port Washington.
Dollars raised will provide funding for 26 nonprofit organizations that serve residents.

"Though we don’t always see past the beauty of our town, there is a great deal of need here in Port Washington. Through one donation to the Community Chest you can help make the lives of so many residents better," Julie Meer Harnick, Executive Director of Community Chest, said in a press release. "Every dollar you give the Community Chest is well spent. With low overhead, and a thorough review of grant requests, we ensure that your gift is used as efficiently and effectively as possible.
The organization will also have car flags, store posters and painted windows as part of its 2018 campaign kickoff.
