PORT WASHINGTON, NY — North Hempstead town officials attended the annual Port Washington Chamber of Commerce SOUPer Bowl at Archangel Michael Church over the weekend. Residents and judges vote for their favorite soup from local restaurants at the annual soup taste-testing event, and this year, awards were given for the judges' choice, people's choice, and kids' choice.

Ayhan’s Mediterranean Marketplace took home the 2020 judges' choice award for its turkey chili soup, while Ale’Port as the people’s choice for its sweet corn chowder. Frank’s Pizza won the kids’ choice award for its chicken noodle soup.
