PORT WASHINGTON, NY — A man was hurt and had to be rescued when he fell down a deep hole in Port Washington. A Nassau County technical rescue team was called to a construction site around 9 a.m. Monday on Longwood Road in Sands Point, firefighters said. T

There, they pulled the man out of the 12-foot hole amid an unstable mound of dirt along the ditch.
