Man Drove Drunk With Child In Car In Port Washington: PD
The Port Washington resident was arrested on Sunday night.

A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated while his child was in the car on Sunday night in Port Washington, police say.
According to authorities, 29-year-old Port Washington resident Miguel Orellana was driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla on Manorhaven Boulevard and Cottonwood Road when he was pulled over for failing to obey a stop sign at 8:30 p.m.
Authorities stopped the vehicle and observed Orellana had glassy eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, police say. He was placed under arrest without incident.

Orellana's 14-year-old daughter was in the back seat of the car at the time of the arrest, police say. The minor was released to a relative at the scene.
Orellana was charged with aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law, endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

He will be arraigned Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
