North Hempstead To Hold Weeklong Halloween Celebration

North Hempstead will host a week-long Halloween celebration this year, with a pumpkin painting class, trick or treating and drive-in movie.

NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NY – North Hempstead will host a week-long Halloween celebration this year, with a pumpkin painting class, trick or treating and drive-in movie.

Anyone who participates in the Halloween events will be required to wear a mask and the town will be strictly enforcing social distancing guidelines.

On Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the park at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson will be transformed into a spooky Halloween experience for the Not-So-Spooky Walk. This walk is appropriate for all ages. Fifty visitors at a time will be allowed on the grounds.

Children will be invited to participate in the pumpkin painting event at the Botanic Garden on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. This outdoor event is limited to 20 children. Registration is required.

On Friday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. a trick or treat event will be held at North Hempstead Beach Park. Families will have the chance to visit different tables to trick or treat and receive candy. Entrance will be staggered to accommodate social distancing guidelines.

Following the trick or treat event, a drive-in movie screening of Hotel Transylvania will begin at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required for both events.
