• $50K Donation Given To Port Washington Adult Activities Center (patch.com) — Port Washington seniors will see expanded meals, trips, and social programs thanks to a new $50,000 gift to the Port Washington Adult Activities Center from the Peter & Jeri Dejana Foundation. The donation will help keep lunches affordable, upgrade kitchen equipment, support transportation for outings, and enhance holiday and seasonal luncheons for local older adults.
   

• 'ICE is here!': An activist network spreads on LI over immigration raid fears (newsday.com) — Port Washington residents have built a Rapid Response Network that patrols local streets, holds weekly vigils at the LIRR station, and alerts immigrant neighbors when ICE is spotted. Sparked by the arrest of a popular Main Street bagel shop manager, the group now organizes marches, shares legal resources, and coordinates with similar efforts in nearby Long Island communities.
