Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Car In Roslyn Heights: Police

A 56-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car in Roslyn Heights on Tuesday, according to police.

ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NY — A 56-year-old woman was killed after getting hit by a car Tuesday in Roslyn Heights, according to authorities.

Shortly before 8 p.m., Nassau County police were called to the area of Roslyn Road and I.U. Willets Road for the report of a pedestrian-involved collision.

An unidentified female was walking in the roadway on Roslyn Road when she was struck by a 2018 Jeep Cherokee, police said. The driver of the Jeep, only identified as a 30-year-old man, pulled over and waited for help to arrive.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

An investigation is underway.
