Port Washington Students Spread Holiday Joy
Weber Middle School students collected more than 500 items for local toy drive.

When it comes to spending holiday cheer, Weber Middle School students in Port Washington were up to the challenge.
Together, they collected more than 500 toys for Sen. Jack Martins for his annual toy drive. Martins recently visited the school and thanked the students, who were joined by Principal Marilyn Rodahan and teachers Angela Costelli and Maria Doherty.
All the toys collected by the Port Washington students were donated to children in Winthrop-University Hospital.
“What Weber Middle School’s students did was absolutely amazing,” Martins said.
“It’s wonderful to see how hard they worked to help other kids who are going through tough times,” he added. “ Their efforts will really make a difference for so many families. They should be very proud of themselves.”
