Suspect Wanted In Flower Hill Armed Bank Robbery: Nassau Police

A man with a handgun robbed a Citibank in Flower Hill on Saturday, according to authorities.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Nassau County police are searching for a man they say robbed a Citibank in Flower Hill over the weekend.

Around 2 p.m. on Saturday, a man entered the bank at 1075 Northern Blvd., handed the teller a note announcing the robbery, and brandished a handgun, police said. The teller reportedly complied and the suspect fled on foot through the bank parking lot with cash. Authorities would not confirm how much money was stolen.

Investigators describe the suspect as a six-foot-tall black male with an average build. He was reportedly wearing a light-colored hooded jacket, black pants, black gloves, and a black face mask.

There were eight employees inside the bank at the time of the robbery, according to police. No injuries were reported.
