110 Affordable Units on Winthrop St. in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens Now Taking Applications
Studios and one-bedrooms are renting for $822 per month. Two and three-bedrooms are also available.

PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — Applications are now being accepted for 110 affordable housing units in a new development on Winthrop Street in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.
CAMBA Gardens Phase II, located at 560 Winthrop St., features studios, as well as one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Here's the breakdown of what's available, and the income levels required to apply:

- Studios will rent for $822 per month, and are open to individuals making $29,692 - $38,100 annually
- One-bedrooms will rent for $822 per month, and are open to one or two people collectively making $31,818 - $43,500 annually.
- Two-bedrooms will rent for $1,066 per month, and are open to 2-4 people collectively making $38,195 - $54,360 annually
- Three-bedrooms will rent for $1,228 per month, and are open to 3-6 people collectively making $44,229 - $63,060 annually.
The building's amenities include a 24-hour security desk and on-site laundry, plus community, recreation and computer rooms. The apartments have bamboo flooring, ceiling fans and energy efficient lighting.

When filling half of the units, a preference will be given to members of Community Board 9 and Community Board 17, while a preference for 10 percent of the units will be given to New York City health and hospital workers.
Five percent of the units will be held for applicants with physical disabilities, and two percent will be reserved for those with hearing and vision disabilities.
