Man Stabbed In Antisemitic Hate Crime In Brooklyn; Suspect At Large, NYPD Says
A Jewish man was stabbed on a Brooklyn street corner Tuesday afternoon in what police are investigating as a possible antisemitic assault.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are investigating a possible antisemitic assault after a Jewish man was stabbed on a Brooklyn street corner Tuesday afternoon, and are searching for a suspect who fled the scene.
Police said the 35-year-old victim was involved in what appeared to be a random verbal altercation with another man around 4 p.m. near Kingston Avenue and Lincoln Place in Crown Heights, which escalated when the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him.
The victim, identified by local community patrols as Jewish, was stabbed once in the chest. He was taken to Kings County Hospital Center in stable condition and has since been released, police said.

Authorities have deployed additional officers to Crown Heights and surrounding neighborhoods to search for the suspect, who has not been publicly identified.
Police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing blue jeans, white-and-black sneakers, and a black jacket with the word “Genuine” on the back.

Yaacov Behrman, a rabbi and founder of Jewish Future Alliance, posted on social media, saying that “hateful rhetoric always leads to violence.” He added, referencing recent attacks abroad: “After losing friends in Australia on Sunday, it is painfully clear that the world is once again dangerous for Jews.”
