39 Affordable Crown Heights Apts. Now Taking Applications

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Applications are now being accepted for 39 affordable apartments at 505 St. Marks Ave. in Crown Heights.

A total of 18 one-bedroom apartments are renting for $913 per month, and are open to households of one or two people making between $31,303 and $41,460 annually.

Additionally, 31 two-bedroom apartments will rent for $1,065 per month, and are available for households of 2-4 people making between $36,515 and $51,780 annually.

Applications will be accepted until July 26.

An application can be requested by mail by sending a self-addressed envelope to: St. Marks Place, 87-14 116th Street, Richmond Hill, NY 11418.

The building's amenities include a live-in super, a recreation room, a roof deck, a fitness center, a laundry room and bike storage.

Community Board 8 residents will receive preference when filling half of the units, while municipal employees will receive preference for when filling 5 percent of them.

Those will mobility disabilities will receive 5 percent of the apartments, and those with visual and hearing disabilities will receive 2 percent.
