5 (Free) Things: Esnavi at BAM, Bluesy Folk, February Break Kids Events, Weekend Q Issues, More

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

2. You need bluesy folk. Head to  for the "bluesy soulful, alternative folk experience" (according to Way Station) of the  at 9 p.m. followed by the  at 11. 683 Washington Ave. bet. St. Marks and Prospect. Free.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. Because of February Break in the public schools, there are a ton of extra weekday events this week, including the  where kids learn how to play Nine-Man Morris and make their own playing board to take home. Lefferts Historic House at Prospect Park (Use entrance at Flatbush and Ocean Avenues), 1-3 p.m. Free. See our  for more options.

Over the weekend there are changes to the Q but it's a vast improvement: Beginning at midnight tonight through 5 a.m. Monday Q trains only run between Stillwell/Coney Island and Whitehall St. (going local through the tunnel). But you can switch at Dekalb for the N (which will stop there all weekend) or the R, according to the  MTA.

5. ... And if you have to move your car. You do. Alternate side won't be suspended again until Thursday, March 8 for Purim, according to the NYCDOT.
