5 Things: Brooklyn Pride Day 2012 and Samba with the Sea Lions

1. You need to celebrate LGBTQ pride. Today is Brooklyn's annual Pride Day, which includes a 5K Fun Run, a multicultural festival and a parade. See the  for more details. 

2. You need to do something different. Head to the  for . Visitors will learn some Samba moves and then dance along with Stella and Beebe to live music from Samba New York! Noon to 2 p.m. Free with zoo admission of $8 adults $5 kids.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. In addition to Samba with the Sea Lions and the kids event at Brooklyn Pride, there is also  at the , 145 Brooklyn Ave. bet. St. Marks and Prospect. Free with admission of $7.50 for everyone 1 year and older. See our  for more options. 

4. You need to know if your train is running ... It is! There are no planned service changes affecting Prospect Heights stations, according to the MTA.
