5 Things: DanceAfrica Weekend at BAM and Tres Amigos at Way Station

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event highlights you won't want to miss.

As part of DanceAfrica weekend at the , tonight there's , featuring two prominent female African performers: Alsarah & The Nubatones from the Sudan, performing a mix of Middle Eastern and East African music; and Moroccan-born Malika Zarra, combining a wide range of African and other traditions through songs in Berber, Moroccan Arabic, French, and English. 30 Lafayette Ave., 9 p.m. Free.

You need to know if your train is running ... There are no planned service changes affecting Prospect Heights stations today or over the weekend, but you should note that all weekend, there will be no 4 trains south of Brooklyn Bridge and no 5 trains south of Grand Central. No 3 train service will be extended  to New Lots Avenue, according to the MTA.

5. ... And if you have to move your car. You do. Alternate side won't be suspended again until Monday, May 28, for Memorial Day, according to the NYCDOT.
