2. You need the International African Arts Festival. The f kicks off today. We're not going to lie: Since it's located at Commodore Barry Park in the Brooklyn Navy Yard (Navy Street, Between Park and Flushing), it will be a long, hot hike if you don't have a car. But, since it's in the same park as a , it's a 2-for-one deal. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. $3 suggested donation.
3. You need to get the kids out of the house. There's a new program at the Central Library, Ready, Set, Kindergarten!, which uses stories and activities to help preschoolers to get ready for school. Weekly through July 21. , 10 Grand Army Plaza, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. 3-5 years old. Free.

4. You need to know if your train is running ... It is! There are no planned service changes affecting Prospect Heights stations all weekend, according to the MTA. Whoopie!!!!
5. ... and if you have to move your car. Not today of course, but alternate side parking rules won't be suspended again be until Wednesday, July 4. (And since Wednesdays are of zero help to Prospect Heighters, note that the next ASP suspension that actually helps us will be on Monday, August 20 for Idul-Fitr, according to the NYCDOT.
