5 Things: Pick-Up Softball, 'Three Sisters,' and More

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event highlights you won't want to miss.

 

1. You need softball! Head to Mount Prospect Park , a weekly pick-up game for all ages. Bring a glove if you have one. Eastern Parkway between the Central Library and the Botanic Garden. 1 p.m. Free. 

2. You need Chekhov. In that case go the other direction to  to see the legendary Maly Drama Theatre of St. Petersburg perform  in Russian with Engilsh subtitles. 651 Fulton St. 3 p.m. $25.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. A new learning center is asking area kids to make drawings to help them decorate their walls. Kids who participate will have their artwork framed and on display. The event will also include magic and puppetry demonstrations. Concerning Learning, 213 Eastern Parkway bet. Washington and Classon, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Free. See our  for more options.  

4. You need to know if your train is running ... It is! There are no planned service changes affecting Prospect Heights stations today, but you should note that all weekend, there will be no 4 trains south of Brooklyn Bridge. However 3 train service will be extended  to New Lots Avenue, according to the MTA

5. ... And if you have to move your car. Not today of course, but alternate side won't be suspended again until Thursday, May 17 for Solemnity of the Ascension, according to the NYCDOT.
