1. You need to get literary. You've got two choices tonight: there's the  at or the second meeting of the  at . Both at 8 p.m. and both free. 

2. You need to finally learn to canoe. Head to Prospect Park for a  for adults and kids 8 years old and up, led by urban park rangers. Audubon Center at the Boathouse, near the Lincoln Road/Ocean Avenue entrance, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free.

4. You need to get the kids out of the house. Head to Franklin Avenue for , which includes a kids coloring contest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with all participants receiving a "special crazy crayon" to take home. 720 Franklin Ave., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free.  

5. You need to know if you have to move your car. Not today of course, but try to get a Tuesday/Friday spot. The next alternate side suspension is Wednesday, August 15 for Feast of the Assumption, according to the NYCDOT.
