5 Things: Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament, Comedy Night and Botanic Garden Kids Workshop

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

 

1. You need Yu-Gi-Oh! If you're between the ages of 10 and 25, head to the  at the  for teens, tweens and young adults. Begins today at 11 a.m., finals are tomorrow. First come, first served, so get there early if you want to compete. You must bring your own deck and be on time. Lower Level, Dweck Auditorium lobby, 10 Grand Army Plaza, free. 

2. You need to have some fun. Lots of choices tonight at our neighborhood bars. Head to  for  beginning at 8:30 p.m.,   at 8 and  at 9. No cover.

3. You need music. If you're a country fan, head to  at . At  you can hear  at 9, followed by the folk/soul sounds of Brooklyn's own  at 11. No cover.

4. You need to get the kids out of the house. Besides the Yu-Gi-Oh tournament, above, there's  also the . , 1000 Washington Ave., 1:30 p.m. Free.

5. You need to know if your train is running ... and if you have to move your car. There are no planned service changes affecting Prospect Heights stations today, according to the MTA. As for alternate side, it won't be suspended again until Wednesday, August 15 for Feast of the Assumption (and the next non-Wednesday suspension is Monday, August 20 for Idul-Fitr), according to the NYCDOT.
