56 New Crown Heights Apartments Hit Affordable Housing Lotto

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — More than 50 new Crown Heights apartments in a building with its own pet spa and fitness center are slated to hit the city's affordable housing lottery this week, city records show.
Fifty-six apartments at 409 Eastern Parkway will be up for grabs through the city's affordable housing lottery from Tuesday until June 25, according to new NYC Housing Connect listing.
There will be nine studios, 35 one-bedrooms and 12 two-bedrooms available to New Yorkers who meet specific income requirements.

Thirty-five apartments are reserved for households earning 80% area median income, four studios will be held for people earning 100% AMI and 17 will go to those earning 120% AMI.

New Yorkers will need to earn between $42,000 and $66,800 annually to land a $1,168 studio and between $62,709 and $83,500 to apply for a $1,772 studio, city records show.
Twenty-three $1,254-a-month one bedrooms are reserved for households with an annual income between $45,018 and $75,120 and 12 $2,292-a-month one-bedrooms will be available to people earning between $80,606 and $112,680.
Seven $1,511-a-month two-bedrooms will go to households with an annual income between $53,863 and $90,160 and five $2,759-a-month two-bedrooms will be held for households earning between $96,652 and $135,240 annually.
Building amenities include a fitness center, laundry room, roof deck, game room, courtyard, business lounge, office space, pet spa, kids room and bike room, city records show.
The apartment building, which sits on Eastern Parkway and Bedford Avenue, is within walking distance of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the Brooklyn Museum and the Nostrand Avenue 2, 3, and 4 train station.
