$75K Income All It Takes To Apply For 'Affordable' PLG 1-Bedroom

Anyone earning between $75,000 and $97,000 can apply for these "affordable" one-bedrooms on Rutland Road.

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — All it takes to find an "affordable" Prospect Lefferts Garden one-bedroom is a minimum salary of $75,000 a year, records show.

A new batch of apartments at 340 and 342 Rutland Road are slated to hit the city's affordable housing lottery Monday and come with steep salary requirements, according to an NYC Housing Connect listing.

The five apartments all demand applicants earn 130 percent of the area median income, which means three $2,211-a-month one-bedrooms are only available to households bringing in between $75,806 and $97,110 a year.

One two-bedroom apartment costs $2,666 a month and is available to households with an annual income of $91,406 and $149,890 and a $3,072-a-month three-bedroom requires applicants earn between $105,326 and $172,120 annually.
