94 'Affordable' Apartments Open In Latest Pacific Park Building
A Pacific Street building, part of the controversial 22-acre development project in Prospect Heights, hit the affordable housing lottery.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Nearly 100 apartments in the latest Pacific Park building have hit the affordable housing lottery, but only for those making at least $53,000 a year, records show.
The 662 Pacific St. building — called "Plank Road" after the road that once ran across the property — opened applications on the Department of Housing Preservation and Development affordable housing lottery this week.
The Prospect Heights building is the latest in the controversial 22-acre project known as Pacific Park, or Atlantic Yards.

The 27-story building includes a gym, a children's playroom, an outdoor lounge, a rooftop pool, a bike room, and a public school on the first five floors, according to the developers.
Plank Road is the fifth building to be completed in the Pacific Park development. The project also includes two "affordable" complexes on Sixth Avenue and Carlton Avenue, a luxury condo complex on Vanderbilt Avenue and the world's tallest modular building at 461 Dean St.
The massive development project has faced criticism since it was first announced more than a decade ago.
The affordable housing launch at 662 Pacific St. comes several months after developers first teased the completion of the building.
Applications for the building are open until Jan. 17. More information can be found here.
