'Affordable' Crown Heights Studio Costs $1800 A Month

All it takes to apply is an income of $95,000 a year.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- The latest Brooklyn apartments to hit the affordable housing market will cost renters $1,800-a-month, at least.

Twenty-eight apartments at East New York and Schenectady avenues in Wingate became available on the NYC Housing Connect website Tuesday, city records show.

The units at 824 East New York Ave. are only available to households earning 130 percent of the area median income, or between $61,715 and $135,590 per year, records shows.

A six-figure income will be useful when time comes to pay the rent; six studios go for $1,800-a-month while the 19 one-bedrooms go for $2,200-a-month and three two-bedrooms cost $2,600 a month.

Building amenities include a gym, roof deck, in-unit laundry, parking and bike room, but extra fees may apply.

The deadline to apply is April 8.
