'Affordable' Linden Boulevard Apartments Hit Housing Lotto

PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — A slew of "affordable" apartments are about to become available in the neighborhood, but only to residents who meet specific income requirements.

Ten units at 171 Linden Boulevard slated to hit the NYC Housing Connect lotto Tuesday will only be available to those earning 130 percent the area median income, or $124,930 for a family of three.

One studio that costs $1,600 a month is available to people earning between $54,858 and $97,110 a year or couples earning between $54,858 and $111,020 a year.

Six one-bedrooms that cost $1,900 a month are available to households bringing in an annual income between $65,143 and $124,930.

And three two-bedroom apartments that cost $2,050 a month are available to households with an annual income between . $70,286 and $149,890.

The eight-story, 29-unit building stands on the corner of Linden Boulevard and Rogers Avenue and is about three blocks from the Church Avenue 2 and 5 train station.

Amenities include a gym and laundry room that residents must pay to use.

New Yorkers who meet income requirements have until July 24 to apply.
