Armed Cyclist Kills Man Stopped At Red Light In Crown Heights: Cops
The 37-year-old man was in the passenger seat of a Jeep when the cyclist shot and killed him on Classon Avenue, police said.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A gun-wielding cyclist shot and killed a man stopped at a red light in Crown Heights on Wednesday night, according to police.
The 37-year-old man was sitting in the passenger seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Classon Avenue near Atlantic Avenue just before 11 p.m. when the armed cyclist pulled up beside the car, police said.
The cyclist shot into the car, hitting the man in his chest and leg, police said. The shooter was riding a Citi Bike, according to the Daily News.

A woman in the driver seat stepped on the gas in an attempt to flee but crashed the Jeep instead, said police.
Both were rushed to Kings County Hospital where the man died, police said. The woman, 31, was in stable condition, police said.

The Crown Heights homicide was one of three within a single hour on Wednesday night across the city. The other killings include a shooting in Queens and a fatal stabbing in the Bronx.
