Attempted Gunpoint Mugging on Plaza Street East: Police Blotter

Failed Hold-Up

A 45-year-old man was sitting in his car on Plaza Street East on July 31 at 3:50 a.m. when two men came up to him, showed him a small silver gun and demanded money. Instead, the man started his car and drove off, according to a police report.

Sterling Place iPhone Snatch

A 38-year-old man was walking home on Sterling Place between Underhill and Washington while talking on his iPhone at 8:30 p.m. on July 20,  when someone grabbed his phone out of his hand and took off, according to a police report.  

Franklin Park Pickpocket

A man reported that someome stole his wallet out of his back pocket at Franklin Park, 618 St. Johns Place on August 4 between 1 and 1:30 a.m. 

Crack Cocaine Arrest

A 44-year-old man was charged with possession of a controlled substance after a cop saw him with crack cocaine in public view on Bergen Street between Carlton and Vanderbilt at 1:13 a.m. on August 2, according to a police report.

Dean Street Playground Arrest

A 28-year-old woman was charged with marijuana possession after a cop saw her with a marijuana cigar at the Dean Street Playground in open view on August 3 at 4:30 p.m., according to a police report.
