BK Sucker Punch Attacker Indicted On Felony Assault Charges: DA
Franz Jeudy broke a woman's jaw after he punched her in an unprovoked attack back in March, prosecutors said.
CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A Crown Heights man has been indicted on felony assault charges after he punched a 57-year-old woman in the face and broke her jaw in an unprovoked attack, the Brooklyn District Attorney announced.
Franz Jeudy, 33, was arraigned Wednesday before Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Matthew Sciarrino on a multiple count indictment, prosecutors said. Jeudy is facing a maximum sentence of seven years in prison if convicted of the top charges.
“Random attacks against strangers, especially women, are beyond senseless and completely unacceptable. A grand jury that heard all the evidence returned an indictment for felony assault, and we will now seek to hold the defendant accountable, so he will not repeat this outrageous and criminal conduct,” District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said.

On March 26, at about 5 p.m., the 57-year-old woman walked past Jeudy on Grand Avenue near Atlantic Avenue, prosecutors said.
Jeudy then punched the woman in the face unexpectedly and without any words exchanged, according to prosecutors. The 57-year-old woman ran to a nearby restaurant where her brother worked and pointed out Jeudy to him. The brother chased Jeudy for several blocks and held him until police arrived.
