CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Demolition permits have been filed for a Sterling Place parking garage, according to city records.

Last summer, owner Jody Kriss, who runs real estate investment firm Kriss Capital LLC, filed construction permits to replace the garage at 827 Sterling Pl. with a 70-foot-tall apartment building with 79 apartments.

According to New York YIMBY, the building will most likely be rental units, with an average size of under 700 square feet.

Kriss purchased the building in May 2022 for just under $1.6 million, according to property records.

Building records show that the property has yet to obtain a construction permit from the city due to unspecified objections from the Department of Buildings.
