Eat Locally on Thursday and Support Bushwick Campus Farm

Nearly a dozen area restaurants will be contributing a portion of their proceeds on March 29 to the environmental education program for high school students.

Eat at a local restaurant tomorrow and help support environmental education programs at Bushwick Campus Farm and Greenhouse.

Bushwick Campus Farm teaches students at the schools of Bushwick Campus (Academy of Urban Planning, Academy of Environmental Leadership, Brooklyn School for Math and Research, and Bushwick School for Social Justice) about food justice, agriculture and environmental issues in collaboration with EcoStation:NY, and Boswyck Farms.

This past fall, the school began the project of adding a greenhouse to the program to enable the program to continue year round.

Lily Johnson-Dibia, owner of Lily and Fig on Franklin Avenue, is one of nearly a dozen area business owners who decided to participate in the fundraiser.
