Elderly Man Knocked Out As He Walked On BK Street: NYPD

The 79-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are searching for a man who kicked an elderly man in the face and knocked him out in an unprovoked attack last week, police said.

On May 13, at about 10: 53 p.m., in front of 544 Flatbush Avenue, a 79-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk when an unknown man approached him, police said.

The unidentified man kicked the 79-year-old man in the face, causing him to fall to the ground and lose consciousness. The suspect then fled on foot, police said.

The 79-year-old man sustained serious physical injuries and was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in critical but stable condition, police said.
