PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — Don't even think about trying your luck for a new one bedroom in Prospect Lefferts' latest "affordable" housing lottery if you make less than $74,000.
Sure, you can try for a cheaper studio apartment in the lottery for the newly-constructed complex at Clarkson and New York avenues. Just make sure you don't make less than $59,000.
And odds are your income falls somewhere around $52,000 if you live in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, according to U. S. Census data.

The Lois, a lavish new apartment complex at 350 Clarkson Ave., is one of the latest entrants in New York City's housing lottery.
The listing advertises 75 units as "affordable housing to rent." Those who meet the income qualifications can look forward to life in a building with an attended lobby, a gym, yoga room, game room, screening room and a rooftop terrace.

And what are the qualifications?
A studio apartment for $1,721 a month is available for households making up to $111,020 a year.
More roomy single bedrooms for $2,160 a month cap likewise cap off at a $111,020 income for two-person households.
The income tiers go all the way up to a maximum combined income of $172,120 for seven people wanting to split the rent on a $2,975 a month three-bedroom apartment.
