Man Found Beaten In His Brooklyn Apartment Dies Weeks Later, Cops Say

BROOKLYN, NY — A man found beaten in his Brooklyn apartment has died weeks later, and his death has been ruled a homicide, according to police.
Michael Sydnor, 39, died in the hospital this Sunday, weeks after emergency responders doing a wellness check found him hurt inside his Lefferts Avenue apartment on June 18, according to police.
Sydnor was found with trauma to his head and face that an autopsy confirmed was from an attack, according to police and reports. He lived between Brooklyn and Kingston avenues near the Crown Heights border, records show.

There were no arrests as of Friday morning, police said.
