PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A new 298-unit development in Prospect Heights for low-to-middle income earners will begin accepting applications on July 15.
535 Carlton, part of the ongoing $4.6 billion redevelopment project known as Pacific Park Brooklyn, is open to individuals and families making between 30 percent of the area's median income (AMI) and 160 percent of AMI.

- 66 studio apartments will rent to those making $20,126 - $104,775 annually, and will rent for $548 - $2,137 per month, depending on income
- 129 one-bedroom apartments will rent to homes making $21,566 - $119,625 annually, and will rent for $589 - $2,680 per month, depending on income
- 87 two-bedroom apartments will rent to homes making $25,852 - $149,490 annually, and will rent for $713 - $3,223 per month, depending on income
- 15 three bedroom apartments will rent to homes making $29,863 - $173,415 annually, and will rent for $817 - $3,716 per month, depending on income
Each bedroom will be allowed to host a maximum of two occupants (meaning up to six people can live in a three-bedroom).
The 18-story building (located at 535 Carlton Ave., naturally) will open in the fall of this year. It will include a rooftop farm, a communal terrace, and an underground parking garage.
