Nearly 100 Affordable Crown Heights Apartments Hit Housing Lotto

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Nearly 100 new affordable apartments, some of which cost just $590 a month, are up for grabs on the NYC Housing Connect website.

Ninety-three Bedford Arms Apartments homes at 1336 Bedford Ave. hit the housing market Thursday and will be available until Sept. 13, city records show.

Ten apartments — six $590-a-month one-bedrooms, three $718 two-bedrooms and one $812 three-bedroom — are available to households making 40 percent the Area Median Income, or between $22,800 and $49,520 a year.

Nine apartments — five $769 one-bedrooms, three $933 two-bedrooms and one $1,069 three-bedroom — are available to households making 50 percent the Area Median Income, or between $28,938 and $61,900 a year.

Twenty-eight apartments — 16 $1,360 one-bedrooms, nine $1,642 two-bedrooms and three $1,888 three-bedrooms — are available to households making 40 percent the Area Median Income, or between $49,200 and $123,800 a year.

Forty-six apartments — 32 $2,1260 one-bedrooms, 10 $2,520 two-bedrooms and four $3,060 three-bedrooms — are available to households making 165 percent the Area Median Income, or between $76,629 and $204,270 a year.

Amenities in the nine-story building include a laundry room, exercise and yoga room, rooftop access and limited parking.

Apartments also come with dishwashers.
