Permits Filed For New 4-Story Building In Crown Heights

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Permits have been filed for a new, four-story building in Crown Heights, according to city records.

The permit for 1526 Lincoln Pl., near Utica Avenue, describes a 47-foot tall building with eight residential units totaling 5900 square feet. Based on an average unit size of 737 square feet, website New York Yimby speculates that the new building will most likely be rentals.

Project cost is estimated to be nearly $1.2 million, according to the permit.

In 2021, the property sold for $600,000, and the new owner has taken out a total of $2.65 in loans against the building. Permits show that the owner's name is Solomon Schwimmer.

That same year, Schwimmer filed a demolition permit for the existing two-story building.
