Prospect-Lefferts Gardens Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Car In Weeksville: Police

The driver was hit Sunday night.

WEEKSVILLE, BROOKLYN — A man riding a motorcycle was killed over the weekend when he collided with a car in an intersection in the Weeksville section of Crown Heights.

The motorcycle driver was headed north on Ralph Avenue on a 2006 Kawasaki ZX10 shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, police said.

As he approached Park Place with a green light, a 2008 Honda CRV headed south on Ralph Avenue tried to make a left turn in front of the motorcyclist, police said.

The motorcycle hit the rear quarter panel of the car, throwing its driver into the intersection, according to police. The motorcycle driver, a 49-year-old male, was taken to Kings County Hospital and pronounced dead. He lived on Clarkson Avenue in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, according to police.

The car driver, a 59-year-old woman, remained on the scene. No arrests have been made.
