BROOKLYN, NY — Track upgrades on the Q line could screw up plans for late-night straphangers in Brooklyn the next few summer weekends, according to the MTA.

A renovation project from the MTA will stop Q trains from running overnight between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and Prospect Park stations for five weekends in a row, the agency announced on Monday.

Straphangers have already been taking shuttles between the two stations on weeknights because of the work.

The weekend service changes will start this Friday and are set to last between 11:45 p.m. and 5 a.m. each weekend night until Monday, August 15.

The disruption will let crews work on a tunnel that runs under Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The MTA is working on signal improvements, LED light installation, track replacement, third rail protection and other upgrades that will help reinforce water infiltration, officials said.
