Summer Movies Set To Return To Prospect Park: What To Know
Encanto, Back To The Future and other films are ready for their close up on Long Meadow, starting in August.

PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN — The chance to watch a movie under the stars will make its return to Prospect Park in a few weeks.
A "Beloved Summer Movie Series," presented by SHOWTIME, is set to kick off in August, bringing back the tradition of weekly movies on Brooklyn Backyard's Long Meadow.
This year, the series will also be held in Fort Greene Park, which will host weekly movies in July.

Both series are sponsored by the network, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, Brooklyn Magazine and the parks' respective alliances.
“SHOWTIME® in the Park has become one of the many summer events Brooklynites get excited for each year, and I’m looking forward to enjoying this year’s movie line-up in my new role as Borough President with my family," Reynoso said.

In Prospect Park, the free films will begin shortly after sundown in the north end of the Long Meadow, found near the Grand Army Plaza entrance.
There will be complimentary lawn chairs at a SHOWTIME® table while supplies last each movie night.

Fort Greene Park
West Side Story (2021)
