ROCKAWAY BEACH, NY — A cluster of boats caught fire early Wednesday morning, injuring three as flames engulfed the vessels, fire officials and law enforcement sources said.

First responders rushed to the fiery scene after four boats burst into flames while docked at Marina 59 on Beach 59th Street just before 2 a.m., according to the FDNY.

Two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries, while one firefighter was taken to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital for treatment.

Their conditions are currently unknown, officials said.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze after about an hour, but officials said the exact cause is still under investigation by fire marshals.
