Brooklyn Man Sought For Rape Of 49-Year-Old Woman In Maspeth: NYPD

QUEENS — Police have identified the Brooklyn man who raped a 49-year-old woman in Maspeth in late April, the NYPD said.

Tony Kempsey, a 58-year-old man from Gowanus, is sought by authorities for the rape of a woman who climbed onto the back of his scooter after she was walking home on April 30 around 5 a.m., cops said.

They arrived at 48th Avenue, near 72nd Street, and then he punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground and lose consciousness, authorities said.

The man from Butler Street raped her, and when she regained consciousness, he fled on the scooter, police said.

The 49-year-old was taken to NYC Health and Hospital/ Elmhurst in stable condition, the NYPD said.
