Driver Helps Stranded Man On Queens Road, Gets Robbed: NYPD

The 25-year-old driver stopped near 61-19 Northern Blvd. to help a man who appeared to be having vehicle troubles on April 18. cops said.

QUEENS — A 25-year-old man got robbed after stopping his vehicle to help a man stranded on the road in Woodside earlier this month, police said.

The 25-year-old driver stopped near 61-19 Northern Blvd. to help a man who appeared to be having vehicle troubles on April 18 around 12:45 p.m. and then the man threatened the 25-year-old and demanded money, the NYPD said.

The 25-year-old gave him money, and the robber fled towards the BQE westbound in a black Hyundai SUV, authorities said.

Police released images of the robber, who is about 40 to 50 years old and was last seen wearing all dark clothing, cops said.
